Application via incentive legislation were initiated in 1997 with direct patronage for the cultural area. Airports managed by Infraero started in the same year to provide spaces for art exhibits.

Currently, Infraero supports and promotes several projects valuating arts and maintains cultural spaces in its airports for painting, sculpture and photography exhibits, giving priority to artists from the region.

Analysis of presented projects will consider, preferentially, the relationship with Infraero’s business, project capacity to generate employment and income, valuation of popular culture and social inclusion; regionalization and interior driving; and the collection that are related to rescue of the Brazilian culture, meeting institutional feature counterparts.
