| Pelotas International Airport |

Pelotas International Airport has its history linked to pioneer commercial aviation. The airport worked as intermediary landing and first stopover, still in the 1920s, for flights of the recently established Riograndense Airline. During many years, people from the Uruguayan border used it to get to Porto Alegre, which was around 300 kilometers away. In those days, the flight lasted ove one hour in piston engine aircrafts. |
